Looking for Holiday Lights to go and see in the Northern Virginia, DC area?  Here are a few that we thought you might like!

Parade of Boats in Alexandria, Virginia - December 3

Washington Harbour and Old Town Alexandria Marina. 

  • 4 p.m. - 9 p.m. Festivities at the Torpedo Factory Art Center’s Holiday Open House
  • 4:15 p.m. - Santa arrives by boat - pictures with Santa for Kids and Canines
  • 5:30 p.m. - Parade starts at the Alexandria Waterfront

See dozens of festively decorated pleasure boats light up the sky along the Potomac River. The parade begins at Alexandria's waterfront and travels to Washington's Channel at Water St. off of Maine Avenue

Zoolights! November 25th to January 1st

Smithsonian’s National Zoo & Conservation Biology Institute 3001 Connecticut Ave., NW Washington, DC 

November 25 to January 1 (except December 24 & 25) 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm. More than 500,000 environmentally-friendly LED lights transform the Zoo into a winter wonderland complete with a dazzling light show set to music!


Bull Run Festival of Lights  November 23rd to January 8th

7700 Bull Run Dr., Centreville, Virginia. (703) 359-4633. November 23, 2016 through January 8, 2017. Hours: Monday - Thursday & Sunday: 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Fridays, Saturdays & holidays: 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. This festive display of lights features penguins, snowmen, deer, candy canes and Santa. Monday – Thursday, $15 per car, Friday – Sunday, $20 per car. The event will include more than 40,000 animated lights set to music! After viewing the lights you can visit the new Winter Wonderland Holiday Village that includes amusement rides, an ice skating rink, entertainment, shopping, contests, food, and more.


Winter Walk of Lights at Meadowlark Gardens November 18th to January 8th

9750 Meadowlark Gardens Court, Vienna, Virginia. (703) 255-3631. November 18, 2016-January 8, 2017, 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Admission: $13-14 Adults, $8-9 children ages 3-12. The garden offers a half-mile walking tour of lights featuring unique animated displays with a nature theme and a Gingerbread Village. After visiting the display, step inside the Visitor Center to warm up with some light refreshments. 



Reagon Ct Christmas Lights

5552 Reagon Ct, Woodbridge, VA. 5:30 pm - 10:00 pm - This is a Christmas light show put together jointly with the The Brown and Jaeger families. Follow their Facebook page for all the up-to-the-minute information. Non-perishable canned food donations are requested.

 Anderson’s “North Pole” 

Drive thru lights are open Dec. 1 thru Dec. 25 from 5:30-9 p.m.  15615 Bushey Drive, Woodbridge, VA 22193.  Only 8 cars allowed at a time as there is only a single entrance/exit so be prepared  to wait a little while - it will be worth it!

Always a bright corner to cruise by.  A multitude of lights, blow up figures, and the infamous "Countdown to Christmas" clock.
